April 25th, 2008

3 years ago Bryan and I said "I do"! Here are some super fun and favorite moments from our Wedding.

The classic walk down the aisle with Dad. :-)

I was walking towards him in this photo, just love this expression. It was an overwhelming moment to say the least.
    Yay, we did it!

Hahaha, get it Tara & Mike. Love it!

                                                                Can you feel the love?

Here's where it gets good, something came over Bryan and this happened......

This pictures still makes me scratch my head....how did he land without hurting himself! Did someone forget to tell me that Bryan was a closet break dancer?!?!

Phew, I have my normal Bryan back!

Will You Marry Me?

In honor of our 3 year Wedding anniversary on Monday I thought I would post some of our engagement pics we took way back in Sept 07'. I can't believe how long ago it was but I still remember that day so well, we had soooo much fun doing this. We originally didn't plan on taking engagement pics because it felt a little corny but because it was part of our Wedding package we of course went for it, and I'm so glad we did.  It's a little weird being photographed but once you get passed the idea it's a ton of fun. By the end of our session we were  in the water in our clothes, it felt crazy at the time and got us a little hysterical too.  It doesn't hurt when you have a fun photographer too!!

I'll post some fun memories and pics from our Wedding on Monday. :-)

Explosive!

Bryan and I were just saying the other day that Reed hasn't had an explosive diaper in a long time, well....we spoke to soon! Bryan was watching Reed on the couch and all I hear Bryan say is "Oh my gosh, oh no, oh my gosh, it's coming through the front of his shirt!!!" I run over and yep, it's is seeping its way up his back and over to his tummy. Awesome. Bath time here we come!!! This is when you have to decide how to get the onesie off. Roll it up and slowly take off over head? Roll down and take off waist, or cut it off?

Then Bryan plops him in the bath and forgets to cover him with a washcloth, Reed happily peed straight up into the air and onto the mirror. Good work Reed!

(Excuse the quality of the pic, and the poop, its a camera phone)

Do I really have to get up?

Our new routine, Reed wakes up around 5:40am-6:00am, eats and falls back asleep on me, I get to enjoy it for a little, but then I have to get up and get ready, so I slowly slide over and hand him to Bryan and they sleep for another half hour. :-) It's tough getting out of bed when it looks like this-oh and Lena was somewhere under the covers too.

Oh Lena

Sadly Thursday was my last official day of maternity leave with Reed, I am back full time this week and to be blunt....it's going to stink! I really enjoyed my special days off with Reed. One of the many special things I enjoyed was sleeping with him after his morning feeding, I would let him fall back asleep on me and we'd stay that way for hours. Tummy to tummy. He would just lay on me with his sleepy drooling self until he woke up and was ready to eat again. The warm lump of love that is my little 3 1/2 month old completely out weighs the numbness of your body from laying in one position for hours. Sooo worth it. Luckily I am able to do this on the weekends and I try to sneak in a few minutes of it before work in those early morning hours. Now, I know I made this sound like a peaceful time, and  it typically is....except I think Miss Lena knew it was my last day off with the two of them and decided to be a p.i.a.  Bryan usually leaves me and Reed in bed and Lena blocked off downstairs in the mornings. Bryan forgot to put one of the pillows up on the stairs to block Lena from coming up. She isn't supposed to go up and down stairs because it could do damage to her back and she knows these rules well too. As soon as Master Bryan shut that front door, Little miss thang took full advantage of the situation and came flying up the stairs and stood outside our bedroom door whining for the next 20 min......reaching new levels. She was driving me nuts! I'm laying there enjoying my peaceful time with Reed and am trying to log in some extra sleep but have this little dog crying at me and there's nothing I can do about it. After 20 min of listening to her whine and my blood pressure rise, I finally caved in and slowly got up with Reed in the same position, slowly scooped up Lena and carefully walked down the stairs with both of them in my arms, where we all laid on the couch for the next hour and and continued to snooze. Phew, success.

Much later that same day Lena wanted to go upstairs again, she was sitting at the bottom of the stairs whining while I was trying to get Reed down for a nap. She finally went for it again, pushed the pillows aside and flew up the stairs I couldn't find her at first and thought she must be up to something! Apparently all she wanted was her Reindeer and a sunny spot to snooze in. Goodness gracious Lena.
